FAQs

Interpreting for Workers Compensation Patients
(Labor and industry or private)

LC Interpreters is a provider for the Department of Labor and Industry and many self insured companies. These are some of the questions to some of the most  frequently asked questions.

How much are your interpreting fees?

Since we are providers to the Department of Labor and Industry in Washington State, there is no direct fee to you for our services. We have met the requirements so that the department pays us directly for our services.

What about self insured companies?

We contact the self insured companies directly and receive authorization before providing services.

Must I do the billing?

No, when an interpreter finishes the appointment, there is an appointment record sheet that your staff signs verifying that the interpreter was there and that the service was provided. We take care of the rest.

How can I get an interpreter for an appointment?

You can call us at 206-901-9834, e-mail us at service@lcinterpreters.com or once you become an established client of LC interpreters, you will also have web access to a personal calendar for your clinic and can schedule appointments through the website. (All programs meet HIPPA regulations.)

What information do you need to schedule an appointment?

We need the patient’s name, claim number (if available), phone number and appointment information. We will also need to know what language you are requesting.

How far ahead must we schedule an appointment?

This depends on the language. Many times if it is a common language we only need between 24 to 48 hour notice.   Often we have interpreters available for those last minute appointments as well. So don’t hesitate to call us at (206) 901-9834.
